WALLACE-KELLOGG FIRES 75 TO SNAG OVERALL TITLE
Wallace-Kellogg fired a clutch 75 on the final Sunday of the Camas Prairie Trap Shoot to squeak past Boise for the championship of the annual 10-week competition at various gun clubs. The Silver Valley squad posted an overall score of 740 to nip Week 9 leader Boise, which finished at 739.25 with a 74 in the final shoot. Culdesac placed third overall at 737.92. Grant Williams of Wallace –Kellogg tied for season individuals honors with 5 perfect 25 scores, matching the total of Alan Keasel of Garfield. Laura Winkel of Hermiston took the Women’s title with four, and PJ Schlangen of Culdesac claimed the junior crown with 2. Wallace-Kellogg also nabbed the overall junior championship.

Top two Teams Fire 75’s as race remains tight
Misfires were costly in Week 8 of the Camas Prairie Trap Shoot on Sunday as five clubs, including the top two in the standings, fired perfect 75’s. Wallace-Kellogg retained a small lead over second place Boise while Culdesac slipped from third to fourth by recording a not-too-shabby 74.25. Colton jumped into third with a perfect score while Hermiston and Nez Perce also tallied 75’s. Just two weeks remain in the annual competition at various gun clubs. Laura Winkel of Hermiston leads the women’s all –stars with four perfect 25’s while eight shooters are log jammed atop the men’s list with four flawless scores. WALLACE-KELLOGG fires 75 to Capture LEAD!!!!
Of the 22 clubs that compete in the Camas Prairie Trap Shoot, 21 described windy conditions when they reported their scores to the organization Sunday.
The one exception seized the overall lead. Wallace-Kellogg fired a perfect 75 amid snowfall but apparently moderate wind, climbing from 4th place to 1st place in Week 7 of the 10-week competition at various gun clubs.
Boise also shot a 75 to jump from 6th place to second, just 75 hundredths of a point behind the Silver Valley club. Culdesac recorded a 72 to fall from 1st to 3rd in what’s shaping up as an extremely tight, unpredictable race.
