Twenty-six gun clubs, shooting as 21 teams are already in the 24 annual Spokesman-Review telegrphic trap shoot, which starts on its dash for title honors a week from tomorrow. Deadline for entries is noon on Monday.
The Cheney Gun Club, which had been expedted as an entry, made its regrets yesterday and said it would be unable to shoot this year. It is a recently formed organization and, to date, has been unable to get enough experenced men to warrant making the run. It said, however, it wanted to be the first in the field for next year’s silver anniversary shoot.
The Boise Gun Club, which has been absent from the shoot for some years, sent in its entry yesterday and Wenatchee, one of the faithful, also came along with Butte. The Colfax Gun Club, a newly formed group, completed the quartet to get aboard.
With the addition of Colfax three new clubs are in, Coeur d’Alene and Hamilton, Mont., being the others.
