Full description and what we offer
Kodiak Adventures Lodge sits in one of Alaska's most remote wilderness areas—accessible only by 30-minute float plane from Kodiak City. This isn't a resort. It's a working outfitter in the heart of game country on Kodiak Island, the second-largest island in the United States.
Salmon Fishing - Kiliuda Bay holds four salmon species: King (Chinook), Coho (Silver), Pink (Humpies), and Chum (Keta). Trolling shoreline with Lamiglas rods, Abu Garcia reels, and Cannon downriggers. Rotating baits and lures based on what's biting.
Halibut Fishing - The unique advantage here is depth. Most halibut fishing happens in 60-100 feet of water—shallow enough that fish fight harder and you don't exhaust yourself. Means you can actually fish all day instead of burning out your arms.
Blacktail Deer Hunting - Sitka blacktail hunts across Kodiak's open terrain during hunting season.
Duck Hunting - Rare and elusive sea duck hunting, described as some of the toughest in Alaska.
Kodiak Island sits 30 miles from the Alaska Peninsula, about 158 miles across the Gulf of Alaska from Homer, and roughly an hour south of Anchorage by air. The archipelago covers nearly 5,000 square miles with jagged peaks, fjord-like bays, and U-shaped valleys carved by glaciers 15,000 years ago. Bear population runs about 1 per square mile—you're in actual wilderness.
