Arkansas Concealed

Arkansas Concealed is the training division of THOR Elite Firing Range, offering state-approved concealed handgun carry license (CHCL) instruction taught by registered Firearms Safety Training Instructors. Whether you're applying for your first license or upgrading to an Enhanced CHCL, they handle the full training requirement and live-fire qualification.

Concealed Carry License (CHCL) Class - Scheduled every Wednesday and Saturday at 9:00 AM (arrive by 8:30 AM for processing) - Cost: $150 (includes one-year free range membership) - 5+ hours of classroom instruction covering: - Application process and criteria - Arkansas CHCL laws and rules - Handgun types, ammunition, cleaning, and storage - Carrying concealed and law enforcement encounters - Avoiding victimization and self-defense basics - Live-fire range qualification requirement

Enhanced Concealed Carry License Class - Held every other Sunday at 9:00 AM - Cost: $150 (includes one-year free range membership) - Approximately 8 hours total (5-6 hours classroom + ~2 hours range time) - Light lunch provided; bring your own snacks if preferred - Covers expanded legal rights including carry in: - Public buildings and state facilities - State Capitol and government meetings - Airports (passenger terminals) - Churches and places of worship - College and university grounds (with restrictions) - Establishments serving alcohol - Parades and demonstrations - Advanced topics: Self-defense law, weapon retention, civil liability, campus carry policies, law enforcement interactions - Live-fire qualification: 50 rounds at 3, 7, and 15-yard lines (must score 35/50 or 70% overall)

Basic handgun fundamentals courses available through registered instructors including Andrew Meeks (Enhanced Carry Instructor) and Max Rodriguez (Concealed Carry Instructor).

Refer someone to an Enhanced Concealed Carry class and receive a one-year extension to your range membership at no cost.

Arkansas requires all CHCL applicants to complete Division-approved firearm safety training with a registered instructor and demonstrate live-fire proficiency. The training must be completed within six months of application submission. An Enhanced CHCL provides significantly broader carry rights across Arkansas but requires additional advanced training and qualification.
