Own Good to Go Gun Training?

Full description and what we offer
Greg Gedese founded Good To Go Gun Training after four years as a Reconnaissance Marine with 1st Recon Battalion, including deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. He holds NRA Instructor and California Department of Justice Certifications, plus NRA Range Safety Officer credentials.
His mission is straightforward: teach anyone with a positive attitude how to safely and competently handle firearms. He's specifically trained seniors, domestic violence survivors, and individuals with physical disabilities—something most ranges won't advertise but Gedese built his practice on.
All training starts with an assessment of your goals and skill level. No cookie-cutter curriculum here. Whether you're picking up a firearm for the first time or you're coming back after years away, Gedese designs a program that meets you where you are.
"Taking Good To Go Gun Training's handgun course was an exciting experience. Not only did I learn about the different parts of a firearm and how they work, but I got some really great hands-on training. Greg was very clear about the best firearm safety practices." — Kaylee T.
Personalized, one-on-one instruction at $80 per hour (discounts available for military and first responders). You move at your own pace. Classes are booked in 1-hour segments and can be a mix of classroom instruction and live range time, depending on your needs.
Don't own a gun? No problem. Gedese arranges rental firearms through partnered facilities.
Cap at 20 students (typically 10–12 per class). Group courses offer a supportive environment where you learn alongside peers and identify your strengths and weaknesses in real time.
Gedese is an approved instructor for California CCW courses sanctioned by the Fresno County Sheriff's Department. All courses are $300 per student and include the mandatory firearms training and on-range qualification required by the state.
Certificate of Completion required by the state, but does not guarantee permit approval—that's up to the Sheriff's Department with their discretion.
Minimum age: 12 years old. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Bring your own firearm and ammunition if you have them. Rental firearms and gear are available at the facility. All that's truly required: 1 hour of time and a positive mental attitude.
Book an assessment online to discuss your goals and get assigned to the right course.
