Manteca Sportsmen Inc started as a local social club in 1937 and incorporated as a 501(c)(4) nonprofit in 1947. Today it operates as one of the region's most comprehensive shooting sports facilities, with eight separate venues under one roof and a fully provisioned clubhouse.
MSI's facilities include: - Pistol Range – Indoor, open daily - Rifle Range – Currently closed for renovations - Archery – Two ranges (practice 20-50 yards, field range) - Black Powder Range - Shotgun Bunker – For sporting clays - Trap Shooting – Public and member rates - SASS Cowboy Town – Full Western action shooting setup - Indoor Range – For .22 rifle instruction

Ammo is now available for range use on-site, eliminating the need to bring your own or shop elsewhere.
MSI offers structured classes across multiple disciplines:
- •Archery Classes – Monthly beginner sessions every Saturday at 10 AM covering:
- •Safety, terminology, equipment (bows, arrows, protective gear)
- •Proper form and technique (stance, drawing, aiming, release)
- •Archery styles (traditional, target, field, bowhunting, competitions)
- •Pistol, Rifle & Shotgun Classes – Men's, women's, and youth-specific instruction
- •1911 Classes – Dedicated training for single-action pistols
- •Trap Classes – For competitive clay shooting
Open 6 days/week, 52 weeks/year (closed Tuesdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas)
Office & Pistol Range: - Monday: 9 AM – 12 PM - Wednesday: 12 PM – 8 PM - Thursday: 10 AM – 4 PM - Friday: 10 AM – 8 PM - Saturday: 8 AM – 8 PM - Sunday: 8 AM – 4 PM
