You bring your own equipment (recurve, compound, or longbow welcome). Once you pass a pin test at the required distance and score, you earn an achievement award. Work up through 11 pins total—the last three are bronze, silver, and gold Olympic awards with USA Archery certificates.

This isn't casual archery. Students must practice at least 3 times per week—once in class, at least once on their own. You'll need to join USA Archery and NFAA within 30 days. Oranco Bowmen Archery Club membership is required for outdoor practice (separate fee).
Coach Tom Batinich came to archery for physical rehabilitation and got hooked on tournaments. He runs the program because the sport's built on shooters sharing knowledge—JOAD is his way of giving back and watching archery grow.
Students can test for each style separately and earn pins for each.
"Space is limited." Applications available in person at the shop.
Contact Coach Tom at [email protected] or stop by Riverside Archery to request the JOAD Orientation sign-up form.
