Jacksonville Clay Target Sports is one of the oldest continuously operating shooting clubs in the United States. Since opening in 1936, the facility has grown to span over 80 acres of dedicated shooting grounds in Northeast Florida, featuring some of the region's most well-maintained clay target courses.
The club operates five distinct clay shooting sports:
Trap Shooting - 10 ATA-compliant trap fields - Pat Traps throwing White Flyer targets - Canteberry Voice Calls for registered events - Field 5 designated as a teaching field for beginners - American Trap, Handicap Trap, and Doubles Trap available - Saturday mornings are practice days
Skeet Shooting - 10 skeet fields (5 lighted for evening shooting) - NSSA-registered shoots hosted throughout the year - Regular Skeet, Skeet Doubles, and International Skeet available - International Skeet on Field 7 features larger targets (110mm vs 108mm), faster throws (72 yards at 65mph), and 0-3 second random delays - NSSA-certified instructors available for clinics and lessons
Sporting Clays - Two state-of-the-art 15-station courses - Designed by internationally renowned architects Heyward Cunningham and Rick Hemingway - North Course: winds through pine canopied woodlands - South Course: plantation-style sandhill terrain - Walk or ride through courses via golf carts - Targets designed to mimic live hunting scenarios
5-Stand - Fast-paced clay target discipline
Wobble Trap - Variable target presentation option
Certified instructors provide private lessons and clinics for all skill levels. Sporting clays private lessons available for both novices and experienced shooters. NSSA-certified skeet instructors on staff.
Jacksonville Clay Target Sports actively develops the next generation of shooters through structured youth and women's programs.
Open to the public—anyone can walk up and shoot.
