The club welcomes all retriever breeds and other versatile hunting dogs capable of retriever work. Members range from amateur to professional trainers, and experience levels span beginners to seasoned hunters. No matter your background, current members are willing to help you and your dog achieve your training goals.

"Family-oriented organization, focused on realistic hunting scenarios and continued education to ensure all owners, handlers, and breeders can conduct themselves with confidence."

While rooted in hunting, ORHRC maintains a "Conceived by Hunters for Hunters" philosophy with strong emphasis on family participation. Women and children are actively encouraged, and a wholesome atmosphere is maintained at all training events and competitions.

The club is affiliated with the United Kennel Club (established 1898), the second-largest all-breed dog registry in the United States. The UKC registers over 250,000 dogs annually and licenses 10,000 events per year.

Once you join, you'll be added to the club email list for event updates, training day schedules, and announcements. Registration for hunt tests is handled through Hunt Secretary (huntsecretary.com). The club maintains an active Facebook presence and welcomes questions from prospective members.
