Iron Mound Outfitters operates across native grasslands, creek bottoms, cultivated fields, and the iconic Iron Mound itself—the easternmost prominence of the Smoky Hills and a landmark settlers used heading west. Every acre is managed with conservation in mind and a commitment to regenerative land stewardship.
Founded on the principle of creating unforgettable hunts regardless of experience level, Iron Mound has built a reputation for full-service guided hunts, field-ready equipment, elite-trained bird dogs, expert guides, and lodge accommodations that feel like coming home.
Iron Mound offers six different hunt packages tailored to group size, skill level, and species availability:
Controlled Shooting Area hunts with extended season - Day Hunt: $550/hunter — 8-bird limit, guide and dogs, breakfast/lunch, cleaning and packaging - Standard All-Inclusive: $850/hunter/day — 8-bird limit, lodging (3 meals, 1 night), sporting clay range warm-up - Premium Hunt: $1,450/hunter/day — 10-bird limit, chef-prepared meals, premium lodging, onsite bartender until midnight
All pheasant hunts done on approved Controlled Shooting Areas. Kansas CSA License, shotgun shells, gun rentals, and gratuities are additional.
Thermal rifle hunts for coyote and bobcat - Coyote/bobcat targeted with custom thermal rifles and ammo included - Night hunts September 1 – March 31, daytime year-round with no bag limit - $700/hunter — includes lodging, meals, guides, and thermal equipment - Can be combined with pheasant packages at discounted rate
Rio Grande spring hunts - 3 days of guided hunting, fully guided with transportation and meals - $1,800 — cleaning and packaging included - Youth season April 1-14 (age 17 and younger) - Kansas Hunting License & Tag required; non-residents enter by lottery (application Jan 14 – Feb 14)
5-day fully guided package with multiple seasons - Archery (Sept 15 – Dec 31), muzzleloader (Sept 15-28), youth (Sept 5-13), pre-rut antlerless (Oct 11-13), regular firearm (Dec 3-14), firearms antlerless (Jan 1-11) - $4,000 — includes lodging, meals, transportation, no trophy fees, rifle/bow range and tuning area - Harvest caped, quartered, or delivered to processor
Kansas 15-bird limit with sporting clays warm-up - Day Package: ~$450/hunter — 15-bird limit, sporting clays, guide and dogs, breakfast/lunch, cleaning - All-Inclusive: Lodging, meals (3 meals, 1 night), same hunt details
