Hermon Skeet Club has been operating since 1967, when about twenty local sportsmen founded the club in a rented farmer's field in Hermon, Maine. What started as a single skeet field has grown into a major regional shooting facility. The club's current property spans more than 220 acres and hosts approximately 200 active members.
The facility includes three separate shooting venues:
Hermon hosts numerous registered events throughout the year, sanctioned by multiple organizations:

The club was the site of both the Maine State Skeet and Sporting Clays Championships in 2004. Annual signature events include:
European Start Format: All shoots use European start rules—shooters find an empty station and begin their round. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged via ScoreChaser.com or email to help with food planning and smooth event management.
Summer Hours (Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday) - Opens 9:00 AM - Closes approximately 12:00 PM
Winter Hours (Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday) - Opens 10:00 AM - Winter NSCA tournaments typically start at 9:00 AM
The club is open to the public during these hours. Recreational shooting and tournament participation welcome.
Shooters can register for events in two ways:

When registering, specify which days you'll shoot and your squad preference (minimum 3 shooters, maximum 5 per squad). If no squad is declared, the club will assign one.
On-Site Services: - Meals typically available by 11:00 AM at events - Drinks available in the clubhouse - Water stations on the course - Individually wrapped snacks - Clubhouse check-in for entry fees and event cards

The facility is located approximately 10 miles west of Bangor in Penobscot County. The club maintains year-round operation with schedules subject to change based on weather conditions. Any schedule changes are posted on the club website and distributed via email to registered members.
