Full description and what we offer
Deer Creek Hunt Club sits on 500 acres of rolling hills, contoured cover fields, streams, and ravine woodlands in Southwest Michigan. Located at 18000 Basswood Road in Three Oaks—just 2 miles from the Indiana border, 4 miles from New Buffalo, and slightly over an hour from Chicago—it's positioned between two casinos within 10 miles and abundant lodging options, making it accessible for day trips or weekend getaways.
Established in the 1980s as an exclusive membership-only club, Deer Creek opened to the public while maintaining its membership model. Safety is built into every operation, with full-time staff overseeing all shooting activities.
Skeet Two machines throw targets in a semi-circle pattern with eight stations. Deer Creek uses a revolutionary wireless throwing and clay tracking system. Available year-round for recreation or competition.
Sporting Clays Compared to golf with a shotgun. Courses feature twelve stations, each throwing two targets (true pair or report pair). Multiple difficulty levels for beginners through experienced shooters. Golf carts available for rent.
Wobble Targets move unpredictably—up, down, and side to side—simulating field conditions. The machine constantly shifts position when triggered, adding an element of surprise like actual hunting.
5-Stand Fully automated with random multi-target presentations from six or more trap locations. Shooters move station to station with predetermined or unknown shot sequences.

Deer Creek offers pheasant and chukar partridge hunts in natural Midwestern farm settings across multiple hunting fields with distinct personalities. Each field features wooded tree lines, rolling hills, natural grasses, wetlands, and corn/sorghum mix.
Pheasant Hunts Pheasants range 1.5–2 lbs with vibrant male plumage. Known as the "barroom brawler" of upland birds—crafty, cagey, and challenging. Multiple fields available across the property, including remote areas for true outdoor immersion.
Chukar Partridge Hunts Small hen-sized birds with short wings. Reach top speed quickly and fly longer distances, offering fast, technical shooting.
Professional Guides & Dogs Deer Creek maintains professional guides with well-trained dogs. Choose flushing breeds (search and flush) or pointing breeds (search and hold motionless). Both work well for pheasant and chukar; selection depends on personal preference.
Equipment Recommendations 12 and 20 gauge shotguns are preferred. Deer Creek recommends #6 and #7-1/2 shot, available in their pro shop. No hunting license required as of 2017.
All hunts must be booked in advance by appointment. Call 269-756-6600 to reserve.
Deer Creek hosts corporate team building, company outings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and welcomes novice shooters. The facility accommodates private parties, charity events, and instruction.
