Full description and what we offer
Lonesome Oak Outfitters operates out of Brashear, Missouri, offering guided whitetail deer hunts across 5,000 acres of prime hunting ground. Owner and head guide Reece Bergeron established the operation in 2016 and has built strong relationships with landowners across Adair, Macon, and Linn counties—currently leasing 12 farms.
All standard deer hunts run 5 days with 6 nights of lodging. Muzzleloader hunts are 4 days with 5 nights. Missouri's whitetail season opens September 15th—two weeks before most states—giving early season access to unpressured deer.
Hunting strategies shift by season:
All harvested bucks must meet a 125-inch minimum. Bucks falling short of this requirement incur a $500 fine. The operation uses lock-on stands, ladder stands, and both elevated and ground-level blinds—all Muddy Outdoors equipment. Scent management handled with Nose Jammer products.
The 5,000 square foot lodge features:
All guided hunts include:

$1,000 deposit required to reserve a spot; balance due upon arrival. Missouri hunting licenses cost $265 over the counter.
Reece Bergeron runs the operation with a focus on treating customers like family. He's been leasing ground for 8 years and spends his summers as a charter fisherman in Louisiana—experience that translates to knowing how to handle different types of clients. The crew puts in serious preparation work before season and works hard during hunts to satisfy customers.
Small camp sizes mean less pressure on the property and better hunting conditions compared to large outfitters.
Lonesome Oak maintains active trail cameras across the property and archives harvest photos and sightings from multiple seasons (2017-2022 data available). The operation prioritizes deer management and maintaining a healthy stock. All ground consists of CRP, agricultural fields, timber blocks, and biologic food plots.
