Location details and information
Missoula Trap & Skeet Club operates as a 501(c)(7) membership organization dedicated to clay shooting sports. Located at 8700 U.S. Highway 10 West in Missoula, the club maintains four different shooting disciplines on dedicated fields: trap, international trap, skeet, and 5 Stand.
Unlike commercial ranges, this is entirely volunteer-run. Every time the range is open—whether for leagues, practice, or registered shoots—it's because club members stepped up to staff it. The commitment works because the community of shooters understands what it takes to keep a quality facility going.
Trap & International Trap - Standard trap: Single target launched from center house, five stations, five targets per station, targets fly away (left or right) - International trap: Two targets launched simultaneously at speeds up to 50 mph, requires faster reflexes and multiple-target tracking
Skeet - Eight stations with targets coming from multiple angles - Originated as WWII Air Force gunnery training - Teaches shooting leads at different angles—directly applicable to hunting - Great for fine-tuning form before hunting season
5 Stand - Eight different launch machines with unpredictable angles and multiple targets - Machine placement changes throughout rounds, never in same spot twice - Considered the most challenging of the three disciplines
