Location details and information
Walker River Resort operates as a full-service recreation destination in Smith Valley, Nevada—and the shooting sports are just part of what keeps people coming back. Located at the historic Hudson, Nevada townsite, the resort has been hosting families and outdoor enthusiasts for over 40 years.
The resort features two state-of-the-art sporting clays courses with automatic throwers at 25 stations each, plus a dedicated Five Stand. There's also a pistol range on-site for handgun work. If you're serious about clay shooting or want to test your skills between fishing trips, this setup beats driving to town.
Fly fishing on the West Walker River and throughout Wilson Canyon is excellent for rainbow trout. Guests can explore nearby ghost towns and old mines, or rent OHVs and ride hundreds of miles of established trails across Nevada and California.
Cottages feature vaulted ceilings, full kitchens, private patios with barbecues, and views of Nevada sunsets. RV sites are large, shaded pull-throughs with full hook-ups and individual picnic tables—pets welcome on leash.
Two-night minimum stay. Resort office is not staffed on Tuesdays.

"The beautiful setting and nice big spaces are awesome, but what really makes this Resort a great place is the staff. From the ladies in the office to the always busy grounds crew, these folks are outstanding!" — Robert Parsons
Crystal clear air, complete seclusion, and a mix of shooting sports with traditional outdoor recreation. Smith Valley itself is remote Western Nevada at its best.
