GranitePond LLC teaches firearms safety training across New Hampshire and Massachusetts under the philosophy that "ready is a decision, not a feeling." Instructor Keith Bibby is NRA-certified and runs both NRA-branded courses and custom training tailored to different skill levels and ages.
NRA-Certified Courses: - NRA Basic Pistol – 8-hour course covering firearm safety, pistol types, ammunition basics, shooting fundamentals, and maintenance. Live fire instruction at the range. $150 per course. - NRA Basic Rifle – Fundamentals of rifle safety, handling, and shooting techniques. - NRA Home Firearm Safety – Introduction to safe firearm handling for shooters and family members.
Custom Training: - America's Rifle classes focusing on safety, handling, and marksmanship - NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program drills at Fitchburg Sportsmen's Club ($10 per session)
They focus on three core pillars:
Safety First – Fundamental rules of safe firearm handling practiced consistently Knowledge & Skills – Proper stance, grip, aiming, and precision techniques Attitude Matters – Respect for the firearm, discipline, and commitment to continuous learning
No prior experience required. Firearms and ammunition are provided for most courses. Minors must attend with a parent or legal guardian.

Massachusetts Note: MA LTC (License to Carry) is required to participate in marksmanship drills. Do not bring a firearm into MA without a valid LTC—the law has changed.
Open to US citizens and permanent residents (ITAR requirement). No license needed to take a class in New Hampshire. Massachusetts students must obtain an LTC first. Safety and attitude are non-negotiable; they reserve the right to ask someone to leave if either is in question.
