Full description and what we offer
The Salomon family bought this Farmingdale property in 1938 as a working farm. Eugene Salomon, Sr. turned that love of hunting and the outdoors into something bigger—starting a gun club in 1954 on vacant land nearby. When a fire destroyed the original garage operation, he built what's now E.H. Salomon Shooter's Supplies. By 1968, the trap club moved to the family property, and both operations have run side-by-side ever since.
Now run by Eugene H. Salomon, Jr., the business keeps those old-school values alive. The decades-long relationships with suppliers are still there. You'll notice the Salomon name carries weight in the shooting industry.
Howell Trap Club runs three outdoor trap fields handling singles, doubles, and handicap shooting. Follow ATA rules and safety standards. Groups of five shooters rotate through five positions, firing 25 rounds per session.

This isn't a high-volume, anonymous operation. The Salomon family emphasizes family and camaraderie among shooters and customers. Private and group appointments are available. If you're local to central New Jersey and want consistent trap shooting with people who actually know the sport, this is where it happens.
