The Albuquerque Trap Club has been the hub for trap and 5-Stand shooting in New Mexico for over 70 years. Located at 9617 Broadway SE (just off I-25 South, Exit 215), the club operates multiple practice fields and hosts everything from casual rounds to major sanctioned shoots.
As of January 2025, the 5-Stand field is open to all shooters. A round of 5-Stand (25 targets) costs $10 for both members and non-members. Age doesn't affect pricing. Don't own a shotgun? The club loans them out so beginners can jump in without equipment investment.

The club runs sanctioned Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA) shoots throughout the year:
The 2024 Southwestern Zone Shoot drew over 400 shooters across 10 trap clubs in five states. The Albuquerque location hosted about 50 competitors.
The Executives' Association of Greater Albuquerque (EAGA) has run their annual corporate trapshoot here for over a decade. The club staff handles instruction for first-time shooters—most participants have never fired a shotgun before but leave having broken targets. Events run early morning (typically 7:30 AM–noon) and are just minutes from downtown Albuquerque.
The club runs youth trapshooting programs, introducing younger shooters to the sport through structured instruction and competitive opportunities.
