Full description and what we offer
B and B Waterfowl Guide Service has operated since 1999 under Captains Jay Boone and Lincoln Bridgers, building a reputation for sea duck and waterfowl hunting in North Carolina's Crystal Coast region. What started as traditional Outer Banks-style hunts for divers and puddle ducks evolved in 2007 when they added layout boat operations. For the 2024-25 season, they've expanded again with ocean hunts and brought back early season teal trips by popular demand.
Small 2-person hunts using Core Sound X2 Layout Boats built in North Carolina. Half-day outings start at legal shooting time and end when hunters hit their limit or 11:30 a.m. Focus is sea ducks—primarily Black Scoter, Surf Scoter, and White-wing Scoter—though divers are frequently harvested.
$250 per gun | 2-person minimum | Single hunters accommodated (contact for pricing)
For groups up to 5 hunters. Ocean hunts take place within 3 miles off the Atlantic, though travel varies based on bird movement. Sound hunts work Pamlico Sound and surrounding rivers—a good alternative for those preferring calmer water or with physical limitations.
These hunts are exposed to ocean conditions. Captains won't run in unsafe sea states, and refunds for sea-related discomfort aren't provided.
Sound hunts: $250 per gun (3 hunters weekdays, 4 weekends minimum) Ocean hunts: $1,250 for up to 5 persons
One-on-one salt marsh hunts in Carteret County. Quick hunts typically wrapped by 8:30 a.m.—closer to wood duck timing than traditional waterfowl hunts. Best part: warm weather and getting wet doesn't matter.
$125 per hunter
