Here's the kicker: complete 12 hours of volunteer work as an individual member (or 18 hours for family), and your renewal fee drops by $105-$158. Work counts as range officer duty, instruction, committee work, or club events.

ARPC runs instructor-led classes in: - Hunter Education - Basic Firearm Safety - Oregon/Utah Concealed Carry - Handgun Fundamentals through Advanced (Level 1 & 2) - Low Light Handgun training (Levels 1 & 2) - Modern Sporting Rifle Fundamentals - AR platform training (AR Level 1 & 2) - Defensive Shotgun - Trauma First Aid - Skills Clinic & Safety evaluation - Reloading classes
Matches run the third Saturday (except May, September, November, December). New shooter orientation starts at 8:30 AM, firing at 9 AM. Four stages, 20 record shots plus sighting shots per stage. Distances reduced to 100 yards with proportional target sizing to keep difficulty equivalent to full-distance competition.
Course includes standing slow fire, sitting rapid fire, prone rapid fire, and prone slow fire. Rifles range from M1 Garands to AR-15s to bolt-action match rifles. After attending 3 matches, shooters get an NRA classification card. Participants are also eligible to purchase M1 Garands through the CMP program.

Bring valid ID and eye/ear protection to orientation. Your gate card is personal—not shareable. Memberships increase annually based on the Consumer Price Index.

According to the club's own assessment: beginners are welcome and often squadded with experienced shooters. All skill levels participate. Black Powder group occasionally hosts potlucks. High Power community is known for helping newcomers get started.
