Tulpehocken Rifle & Pistol Club operates three distinct ranges across Pine Grove, Pennsylvania—the Clubhouse on Walters & Leonard Streets, Molleystown Range (243 Molleystown Road), and Berger Road Range. The club's foundation runs deep: the Pine Grove site has hosted shooting sports since 1904 when it served as a National Guard 1000-yard range impact area (the concrete target stand still stands). After civilian use began in the late 1940s with returning WWII veterans, the range fell into disrepair before being revived in the early 1980s. The club formalized with a written constitution in 1990.
This is a shooting range club built around competitions and member practice. The club's stated purpose is clear: promote interest in shooting sports, provide safe facilities for lawful firearm use and practice, hold competitive shoots, train youth in firearms safety, and defend Second Amendment protections.

The name "Tulpehocken" comes from an American Indian word meaning "Land where the turtle sang." It's the name of a creek in Eastern Berks County, Pennsylvania (now part of Schuylkill County). In 1723, Conrad Weiser led 33 German families (the "Palatines") from New York to settle the Tulpehocken area, seeking better treatment than they'd received from British authorities in New York, who restricted settlers to just 10 acres per family.
The club actively seeks volunteers. Contact them to inquire about helping with matches, range maintenance, or event setup.
