Tactical Response established itself in 1996 with a single mission: provide the highest-end firearms and tactical training possible to legally armed civilians, law enforcement, and military personnel. Over three decades, they've maintained that standard while building a roster of instructors from diverse backgrounds—former paratroopers, security contractors, military operators, and civilian shooters all united by their commitment to continuous learning.

"We are as motivated to learn as we are to teach." The company requires every instructor to complete hundreds of hours of training annually from outside schools and trainers.

Tactical Response's course catalog covers the full spectrum of defensive shooting:

• •Fighting Pistol ($600) – The flagship 2-day course covering mindset, gunfighting fundamentals, tactical engagement of multiple threats, and weapon retention
• •Advanced Fighting Pistol® ($600) – Prerequisite: Fighting Pistol within one year. Focuses on speed, accuracy under stress, malfunction management, and the "21-foot rule"
• •Fighting Rifle ($600) – Rifle manipulation, reloads, live-fire tactics, and movement under fire
• •Fighting Shotgun ($600) – Battlesight zero, buckshot drills, low-light firing, and advanced scenarios including hostage rescue

Classes are held at 116 Wood Ave, Camden, TN 38320. Most courses are live-fire, 2-day intensive programs beginning at 0800 hours with strict range safety protocols. Instructors provide classroom briefings before hands-on drills.

The Team Room (151 McRae, Camden, TN) provides on-site lodging for students. Mobile courses are hosted across the U.S., with some locations including Sugarloaf, PA and Las Vegas, NV.

Tactical Response provides loaner firearms for students without their own. They require brass-cased, factory-loaded ammunition only—no steel or aluminum casings except AK-pattern rifles. Brass ammo costs 10-15% more but delivers smoother function. Students must clean and lubricate loaner guns daily.
