DFW Gun Range & Academy

DFW Gun Range & Academy sits at 1607 West Mockingbird Lane in central Dallas and runs 7 days a week: 1pm-8pm Monday-Friday, 11am-8pm weekends. Rent and Shoot - Rentals available on-site. First-time visitors shooting alone must either bring a friend, bring their own firearm, or book a Ranger Experience with an instructor. - Lanes for handguns, rifles, shotguns, and full-auto (Class 3 registered only). - Black powder firearms are prohibited. Armor-piercing, tracer, and incendiary ammo strictly banned. - You can bring your own guns and ammo (subject to restrictions), or purchase their range ammunition. - Drawing from holster is allowed if done safely. Rapid fire is allowed at controllable rates—generally one second minimum between rounds. - Children 6 and older can shoot if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Immersive Experiences

Professional Training - Texas License to Carry (LTC) — Includes classroom, written test, and shooting proficiency test. The range requires 20 rounds at 3 yards, 20 rounds at 7 yards, and 10 rounds at 15 yards, plus 50 additional rounds for the course. - Youth Firearm Safety - Basic and Intermediate Handgun, Shotgun, or Rifle - Defensive Carbine, Handgun, or Shotgun - Home Defense Tactics ("Castle Defense") - Custom training available upon request
