Club review: Cowlitz Gun Club

Cowlitz Gun Club has served trap shooters in Southwest Washington for years, operating out of Winlock with a strong reputation among the regional shooting community. The club originally ran on the old mill ponds in Longview during the early 1970s before relocating.

"Been there a few years ago now on a Wednesday for a little practice on the far trap and then some games on the first trap. Lots of shooting from under the shed roof, the lunch was amazing and when we left on the drive to I-5 there was an amazing view of St. Helens."

The club has multiple trap fields, including a far trap for practice and primary traps for games. Wednesday nights are particularly active with both competitive shooting and social components.
