Indoor Small Arms Range & Training Center

The Indoor Small Arms Range & Training Center at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane County, Washington is a state-of-the-art public safety and military training facility operated jointly by the Spokane County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) and U.S. Air Force (USAF) personnel.

This comprehensive 76,400 square-foot training complex, completed in 2023, replaces the USAF's previous outdoor firing range and provides modern training capabilities for law enforcement and military personnel. The facility represents a $45 million investment in regional public safety infrastructure.

The centerpiece is a 21-lane indoor small arms range built to U.S. government Combat Arms Training and Maintenance (CATM) facility requirements and UFC 4-179 Small Arms Range standards. The range is shared between SCSO and USAF with controlled access protocols. A future 14-lane expansion is planned for the facility.
