Fort Hill Rifle & Pistol Club traces its roots back to Company 842 of the Maryland Minute Men, formed during World War II. After the unit was deactivated in 1944, members wanted to keep shooting together, so they organized the club and obtained their NRA charter in October of that year. What started as a handful of shooters from the disbanded militia company has grown into a regional shooting institution.
