Own Firearms and First Aid Training - Rapid Defense?
01 // DETAILS
Full description and what we offer
Rapid Defense operates a training facility in Southeast Wisconsin with one core philosophy: make you measurably better by the end of class, not just certified.
Instead of mandating arbitrary standards, their instructors—all with decades of real law enforcement or military experience—focus on pushing each student's actual skill level higher. This approach lets them teach mixed-skill classes efficiently, meaning beginners and experienced shooters work together without anyone getting bored or overwhelmed.
Their teaching roster includes:
Craig French — 27+ years law enforcement (Kendall County Sheriff's Office, IL). Certified in CPR, TCCC, tactical response, and less-lethal munitions. Active member of Illinois Tactical Officers Association.
Adrian Alan — 16-year law enforcement veteran, SWAT/sniper trained. Directed operations at Vortex Edge (55,000 sq ft indoor range). Serves on Wisconsin LESB Training & Standards Board for optics curriculum.
Aaron Busche — 17-year suburban police veteran, 10-year SWAT member and 3-year Team Leader. DEA Task Force detective. Teaches force-on-force and dynamic scenarios.
Levi Gotte — Nearly two decades in law enforcement firearms instruction and medical/trauma training. Certified master instructor across multiple platforms. Emphasizes real-world decision-making over minimum standards.
John Czerwinski — 27-year law enforcement veteran, lead firearms instructor for 15+ years. Uses "Coaches Eye" video software to accelerate learning and reduce ammo consumption.
Peaceful Warrior Training Group — Instructors who've responded to actual active shooter events. Teach prevention, response, first care, and fear management for extreme violence scenarios.
"Our goal is to make good training accessible to everyone, creating economical yet jam-packed training for the average citizen and experienced student alike."
They pack substantial material into day-long classes—skills, thinking patterns, and specific drills you can keep practicing after class ends. Video evaluation and dry fire exercises mean you learn faster while using less ammunition. Custom programs available for law enforcement and professional teams.
