Schultz Resort Rod & Gun Club was founded in 1937 by Howard Schultz, an outdoorsman who wanted a place where sportsmen could gather safely. All matches include post-match comradery at the clubhouse. Match setup days are ideal for meeting potential membership sponsors.
Hunter Education: Running since 1974, the program trains approximately 140 new hunters annually and has been awarded outstanding Hunter Education Program status by the Wisconsin Wildlife Federation.
Certified Instruction: The club offers hands-on courses including: - Intro to Firearms and Defensive Handgun - Intro to Defensive Rifle - Intro to Defensive Shotgun - Appleseed Rifle Clinic - Women's-focused shooting events (handguns, rifles, shotguns, archery)
Archery Lessons: Spring and summer programs offered through Muskego Parks & Rec.
In 2016, 27 local area businesses and organizations donated to support the club's "Take Aim at Cancer" fundraiser event.
Cost Structure: - Annual dues: $200 (runs June 1 - May 31) - New member initiation fee: $200 - Key fob: $10 (one-time) - Reactivation fee (if renewal after May 31): $100
Requirements: - Must be 21+ years old - Need sponsorship from existing member in good standing - Pass new member orientation - Pass written exam on club rules - Demonstrate proper firearms handling (live fire exercise) - Volunteer minimum 20 hours per calendar year ($15 charge per hour shortfall) - Family membership includes spouse/significant other 21+ and children/grandchildren under 21
Membership includes: Immediate family access, use of all range facilities during open times, voting rights, participation in member events.

The club runs 11 membership meetings per year, 8 rounds each of USPSA and Steel Challenge, 9 IDPA matches, plus trap leagues, training courses, and special events. Full calendar available online with hours varying by event type.
