Colorado Bill Targets Semiauto Rifles

Colorado Senate Bill 3 would ban the sale of most detachable-magazine semiautomatic rifles, shotguns, and gas-operated pistols in the state. The bill allows a fixed-magazine exemption, but manufacturers don't currently make compliant versions of the targeted guns. Existing lawfully owned firearms are not subject to confiscation.
