Sig 365x Macro Comp EDC
Industry news and analysis
From The Boise Gun Club Handbook

After carrying and shooting my SIG Sauer P365 X-Macro Comp 9mm with a Holosun 507K Green Dot as my everyday carry (EDC) pistol for more than 2,000 rounds, I can confidently say it has earned my trust.

Reliability has been outstanding. The pistol has functioned consistently across my training sessions, and I have no hesitation relying on it as my carry firearm.

Accuracy is excellent. The combination of the X-Macro Comp and the Holosun 507K allows for fast target acquisition while still providing the precision needed for both defensive training and range work.

One area that often comes up in discussions is the trigger. While it may not have the feel of some aftermarket or competition-style triggers, I've found it to be crisp with a short, positive reset. Like any platform, proficiency comes from consistent practice, and once you learn the trigger, it becomes predictable and easy to run well.

The factory X-RAY3 day/night sights are another plus. Having bright tritium sights that co-witness with the optic provides confidence should the optic ever become unavailable.

The optics-ready slide makes mounting the Holosun 507K simple, and the combination has held zero while providing a clean, durable setup for everyday carry.

The integrated compensator also deserves mention. While it's not a substitute for proper grip and technique, I believe it helps reduce muzzle rise enough to support quicker follow-up shots, particularly during rapid strings of fire.

No firearm is a substitute for training, but after more than 2,000 rounds, this platform has proven to be reliable, accurate, comfortable to carry, and well-suited for everyday defensive use. For my needs, it's become the pistol I trust and carry every day.
