Long Range Precision Shooting Workshop

This workshop covers the fundamentals and intermediate techniques of long-range precision shooting. Participants will learn about ballistics, rifle setup, scope use, wind reading, and shooting positions relevant to extended distances. The instruction focuses on practical skills: how to establish a stable shooting platform, calculate holdovers, and make accurate shots at distance. The workshop includes both classroom instruction and live-fire practice at Idaho Long Range's facilities. Attendees should have basic rifle safety knowledge and familiarity with their firearm before arriving. The early 7:00 AM start allows for optimal lighting conditions during the shooting portion. Bring adequate ammunition for practice—instructors will provide guidance on quantities during registration. This is hands-on training, so expect to spend significant time behind the rifle. Weather in Mountain Home in April can vary, so dress in layers and bring weather-appropriate gear.
