NRA Basic Shotgun is a foundational shotgun course at Mill Creek Rifle Club designed to teach you safe handling, marksmanship fundamentals, and practical shooting skills from the ground up. This is your starting point if you're new to shotguns or want to build a solid technical foundation.
The course combines classroom instruction with live-fire training on the range. You'll work through NRA-standard progression: safety protocols, gun handling, stance and grip, sight picture, and shooting mechanics. By the end, you'll understand how shotguns work and be able to shoot them safely and accurately.
