About This Program
What to expect when you show up
Five-stand [sporting clays](/handbook/sporting-clays) puts you on a walking course hitting varied target presentations—crossing shots, incoming birds, rabbits—that simulate actual hunting scenarios. It's shotgun work that demands reading angles and adjusting your lead on the fly, not just pointing at clay.
You'll move through different stations with five shooting positions at each, taking on 50-100 targets per round depending on course setup. Monument Beach's varied terrain keeps things interesting and forces you to adapt your footwork and sight picture station to station.
