Full description and what to expect
Boy Scouts Troop 111 runs a supervised shooting sports session at Linden Sportsmen Club where scouts work toward marksmanship merit badges and rank requirements under BSA-certified instructors. This is structured firearms training built into the scout progression system, not a casual range day.
Scouts rotate through stations focused on safety fundamentals and shooting technique. Adult supervision is constant, and the whole program is designed around scout rank advancement—you'll see kids who came in nervous about firearms leave understanding safe handling and basic marksmanship.
