This is a 100-target skeet doubles event—you're shooting pairs of crossing targets from eight stations, which builds the footwork and lead discipline that carries over to hunting and practical shooting. It's the state 4-H contest, so you're competing against solid competition and testing yourself on a format that doesn't forgive lazy gun mounting or inconsistent swing.
You'll shoot four rounds of 25 targets each. Skeet pairs come from high and low houses, forcing you to manage different angles and speeds. It's brutal feedback—every miss tells you something about your technique, and you'll see it immediately.
