The requalification requirement is for CCW holders who obtained their permits after of 2021.

The new qualification course is reqired by New Jersey State Police, that must include the  of Use Of Force class in order to obtain the qualification certificate. The deadline of October 1 of 2023 has been announced for all current Concealed carrying permit holders, to requalify by new established course and present the certificate to their corresponding Police departments , where the permit has been issued. All new applicants will be qualifying under new course established by New State Police. Further changes are possible and about to come, as New Jersey rules are changing almost weekly.
