The Robert A. Pinn Shooting Range is a premier collegiate shooting facility located at the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. Named after Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Robert A. Pinn, this state-of-the-art range serves as the home facility for the University of Akron NCAA rifle team, ROTC component, rifle classes, and local law enforcement agencies.
Established in 1968, the Robert A. Pinn Shooting Range has evolved into one of Ohio's finest shooting facilities. The range is housed in Shrank Hall South on the University of Akron campus and features modern, computerized electronic shooting systems.
The range is located at 222 Carroll Street, Akron, OH 44304 with entrance off the Lot 37 parking deck, lower level. For directions and inquiries, contact the range at 330-972-5552.
Since 1919, the University of Akron has maintained a shooting facility in partnership with the United States Army for ROTC training. The range was officially named the Robert A. Pinn Shooting Range in 1998 to honor this Ohio native and Congressional Medal of Honor recipient.
