Boy Scouts work on shooting sports merit badges and rank requirements at Ashaway Sportsman's Club, with BSA-certified adult instructors running the line. This is structured firearms instruction tied to advancement, not casual range time.
Scouts get hands-on experience under close supervision with safety drilled in at every step. The troop handles the logistics—instructors, firearms, and ammunition—so this is a controlled introduction to shooting fundamentals within the Scout program framework.
