Allen Palermo Taxidermy operates from Bryan, Texas, where the Palermo name has meant quality craftsmanship for nearly 80 years. What started as a family business has evolved into a studio recognized nationally for exceptional work on trophy game.
Allen Palermo - Founder and master taxidermist with unequaled accomplishments in whitetail deer work. He holds the distinction of being the only taxidermist in Texas to win the North American Champion award for best whitetail deer shoulder mount at the National Taxidermist Association convention. That same year, he also won North American Champion for an axis deer mount—an achievement placing him in an elite group to win two championships at a single show. Allen has captured first place at the Texas Trophy Hunters Association Taxidermy Competition in Houston, San Antonio, and Fort Worth, taking the all-around championship for both life-size and shoulder mount whitetails. He regularly judges and conducts seminars at state and national competitions.
Matt Palermo - Vice President and Allen's son, started learning the craft at age 15 and joined the company full-time after graduating from Texas A&M University in 2007. Matt brings attention to detail, creativity, and natural talent to every project. His three sons and daughter keep him busy coaching sports teams between shop hours.
Larra Palermo - A 2006 Texas A&M graduate and Matt's wife, handles marketing and social media for the studio.

"Clearly the Best in the Business" — Jerry Wascom, Owner of Cactus Jack Ranch
"Time after time, they have gone above and beyond..." — Dustin Masters, Hunting Enthusiast
The studio invests significant time in each piece to match the caliber of work they've become known for. They understand that trophy mounts are about more than preservation—they're about reliving the memory of the hunt and capturing the realistic beauty of each animal.
The team documents their process through videos and behind-the-scenes content, showing how mounts come to life in the shop—from custom rock pedestals to finishing details like dotting the nose on a moose to managing complex life-size grizzly and black bear mounts.
