Vermont Hunter Education Class – (1) 25 YD RANGE & (1) SKEET FIELDCLOSED
The Sportsman’s Club of Franklin County is proud to offer a traditional Hunter Education Class. This is an in-person course lead by Volunteers, Hunters, and Outdoor enthusiasts working to help the next generation of sportsman and sportswomen and to welcome them into the hunting community.
There is no prerequisite homework prior to starting this course. You can ask for an advanced copy of the workbook and manual by calling the Hunter Education Program at 802-828-1193 or emailing [email protected]
Throughout the course your instructors will cover many topics including firearm handling, ethics &safety, map & compass and so much more.
You must attend all the classes that will be held at our facility from 6pm until 9pm evenings for two weeks. The final day will be Saturday morning, consisting of live fire and field exercises. Please be prepared to dress appropriately for weather conditions.
Students must attend all course dates and times listed. There will be a live fire exercise and exam. Students who pass all aspects of this course will be presented with their orange firearm safety card at the end.
Dress for the weather and bring a water bottle. Do not bring your own gun or ammo. We provide all the tools for you at no cost.
All students under the age of 16will need a parent or guardian present throughout the course each day and will need to bring a signed parental consent form.
