Full description and what we offer
Established in 1973 in Montana, Alaska Wilderness Arts & Taxidermy moved north in 1980 and has been serving the Fairbanks and North Pole communities for over four decades. Charlie Livingston, the founder and head wildlife artist, is a graduate of Northwestern School of Taxidermy with specialized training from masters like Joe Halco, John Rinehart, and Mark Frazier.
Charlie Livingston (42+ years experience) specializes in life-size big game and habitat creation. His best trophy—a 67" bull moose—is displayed at Ft. Wainwright's #1 Dining Hall. He's taken nearly every major Alaska game animal except buffalo and muskox.
Joshua Livingston (partner since 2008) is a Certified Journeyman Taxidermist with a University of Alaska Fairbanks degree. He specializes in big game rugs, shoulder mounts, and habitat work. His 7'3" black bear (21 5/16 skull) is mounted life-size in the showroom.
