Full description and what we offer
Alaska Ammunition Services specializes in inventory that other shops don't bother carrying. While common calibers are easy to find, this shop stocks the military surplus and metric stuff shooters actually need: 7.65 Argentine, 7mm Mauser, 8mm Mauser, Carcano, Japanese military rounds, and more.
Located at 2840 Commercial Drive in Anchorage (just 3 doors down from Alaska Industrial Hardware, east of Reeves on Commercial). Open and ready for walk-ins. They also operate from a Fairbanks location for statewide air freight services.
"They had metric stuff like 7mm and 8mm Mauser, Carcano, Jap, 7.65 Argentine + cases of Shot Shells and lots of other common caliber's ammo." - Customer who visited in 2017
If you're shooting milsurp rifles or metric calibers, you know the frustration: Walmart stocks 5.56 and .308, but finding 6.5 Carcano or 7.65 Argentine means driving all over town. Alaska Ammunition solves that problem. Their inventory moves fast—especially when ammo supplies tighten—so they're worth visiting early when you need something specific.
For Alaskans outside the road system, their air freight partnerships with Everts Air Cargo, Northern Air Cargo, and Ravin Air mean you can order components and have them shipped where FedEx and UPS won't go.
