Full description and what we offer
Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc. manufactures firearms under the Marlin®, Ruger®, and Glenfield™ brands from their Nevada facility. The company produces nearly 800 variations across more than 40 product lines, making them one of the nation's largest producers of commercial sporting firearms.
The Marlin brand is synonymous with lever-action rifles—the classic American long gun. This isn't marketing speak: Marlin's heritage stretches back to the Model 1881 (first centerfire) and Model 1891 (first rimfire). Annie Oakley herself trusted the Model 1891 to demonstrate her legendary marksmanship.
Ruger-made Marlin rifles now combine that time-honored tradition with Ruger's exacting standards of quality. Every detail shows attention: polished stainless finishes, laminate stocks, threaded barrels, and modern tactical features where they matter.
| Series | Purpose | Key Features |
|---|---|---|
| SBL Series | Precision hunting | Polished stainless, gray laminate stock, spiral-fluted bolt |
| Dark Series | Modern tactical | Nylon polymer stock with M-LOK® attachment slots |
| Classic Series | Traditional hunting | American black walnut stock with checkering |
| Trapper Series | Dangerous game | Short, quick-handling, optimized for protection and hunting |
| Guide Gun Series | All-weather hunting | Brown laminate stock, crisp checkering for wet conditions |
| Rimfire | Small game, plinking | Search available by caliber |
Marlin continues expanding capabilities: - Trapper Series now available in 10mm Auto - All-new Dark Series Model 1894 (now shipping) - Guide Gun Series Model 1894™ with new modern variants
Safety isn't an afterthought—it's foundational. Every firearm ships from the factory with:
Core safety principles Ruger emphasizes: 1. Learn your firearm's characteristics 2. Keep muzzle pointed safely; finger off trigger until ready 3. Keep firearms unloaded and securely stored when not in use 4. Clear barrel before each use 5. Know your target and what's beyond it 6. Always wear protection (glasses, ear protection) 7. Never transport loaded firearms 8. Never handle firearms while impaired
Since 1987, Ruger pioneered supplying lockable boxes and padlocks with every new firearm. Since 2005, all newly manufactured Ruger firearms include an external, key-operated locking device.
Beyond rifles, Ruger offers branded sportswear and accessories. Product registration and serial number lookup available through customer service.
