Full description and what we offer
Armored Republic manufactures body armor, plate carriers, ballistic shields, and complete loadout kits from their Phoenix facility. Everything is designed around stopping power that doesn't quit after the first round—or the tenth.
Their flagship product is the A4 alloy plate, rated Level III++ (their own designation, beyond standard nomenclature). It stops:
The A4 uses a proprietary AR600 steel/titanium alloy blend with FragLock™ coating—a custom polyurea compound that either redirects fragments (base coat) or captures them entirely (build-up coat). Weight: 8.4-8.65 lbs. Thickness: 0.34"-0.55". 20-year shelf life.
Why the obsession with durability? Their plates get dropped, shot, abused during training, then actually used. Fresh plates are one thing. Plates that still perform after months of hard use? That's the difference.
| Product | Price Range | Key Feature |

| Heritage Level III Steel | $99-$183 | Budget option, proven durability |
| S2 Level IIIA Soft Armor | $99-$227 | Soft plate, pistol/handgun focus |
| The Regicide Plate Carrier | $180 | Low-visibility, scalable, micro harness |

Customer stories backed the engineering:
"Your plate is the reason I'm here." —Bob L, cannabis farm security head who took a .308 round during an armed ambush in Humboldt County and lived.
"Everyone is alive to make more trips in the future." —Ferrin C, logistics coordinator running 13-van rescue missions in Ukraine, equipping ordinary citizens with Level III steel plates.
"I walked away without a scratch." —Tom C, took a .308 hunting round wearing A4 plates. Build-up coating stopped fragmentation cold.
Steel vs. Composite: Most composite plates struggle with backface deformation (blunt force trauma) from high-energy rounds like M80A1. Armored Republic's steel doesn't.
Testing Philosophy: They don't test at minimum specs. They test M80A1 (stronger than common M80 ball) and higher velocities than standard. If it stops their test round, it stops the threats you're likely to face.
FragLock Coating: Custom-designed polyurea blend. Base coat redirects fragments away from the wearer. Build-up coat captures nearly all fragments within the coating itself.
Edge-to-Edge Performance: Consistent ballistic performance across the entire plate surface, no weak spots at the edges.
They publish testing data, fragmentation studies, ballistic characteristics, and preparedness guides on their blog. Topics include steel vs. ceramic comparisons, 10-year torture tests, and emergency preparedness.
