Bodily Defense operates differently than most self-defense shops. They don't just sell stun guns—they train you on them. Rita Rowe-Bodily, the owner and primary instructor, spent 12 years as a police officer and another 10 years working directly with stun gun manufacturers on technical operations and safety.

The lifetime warranty covers defects in the battery, stun capacitor, and flashlight (on models with flashlight). It doesn't cover impact damage or abuse, but Bodily Defense will replace or repair any defective unit if you contact them and return the product.

Their training covers:

1. Reading your manual first — Manufacturers include critical information about your specific model 2. Proper grip and safety — How to hold it so you never touch the contacts 3. Operation practice — Turning on/off and trigger technique in one fluid motion 4. Contact requirements — Stun guns must actually touch the assailant. They penetrate clothing up to 1 inch thick 5. Best target areas — Neck, torso, or hips work best, but any body part will deliver the effect 6. Carrying positions — Belt, waistband, outside pocket, purse strap, or jacket lapel for quick access 7. When to carry in-hand — Walking alone at night, parking garages, jogging, ATMs, or any situation where you don't feel comfortable 8. Expected results — After stunning an assailant, they'll experience pain and muscle dysfunction for 5-30 minutes depending on their size and tolerance
