Junior Shooting Sports is an American Legion gun safety education and marksmanship program run through Duane Ellsworth Post 129 in Queen Creek. Shooters use .177 caliber air rifles. Both boys and girls can participate, and disabled youth are encouraged to join.
The post supports the Queen Creek High School JROTC marksmanship team by supplying coaches and program support. The team competes in local, regional and national marksmanship competitions, including JROTC and American Legion events.
