The Yuma Valley Rod & Gun Club is a non-profit sportsmen's organization serving southwest Arizona with a focus on hunting, shooting sports, and outdoor recreation. For nearly 90 years, YVRGC has brought together families and individuals who care about Arizona's wildlife and the outdoor lifestyle.
Membership is affordable and flexible with several options:

Youth memberships are completely free—the club actively encourages kids to participate in shooting sports and outdoor education.
Club meetings happen the 1st Wednesday of each month at American Legion Post #19, 2575 S. Virginia Drive, Yuma, AZ. Dinner starts at 6:30 pm, with the meeting at 7:00 pm. This is where members connect, discuss club business, and plan events.
Mike Mitchell Memorial Dove Hunter's BBQ
This signature event has run for 18+ years and draws shooters across southwest Arizona. Held in late August/early September at Yuma County Fairgrounds Legacy Event Center, the evening includes:
- •Tri-tip dinner with full fixings
- •Live auctions and raffles
- •Guns and gear for all ages
- •Prize tables with everything from ammunition to firearms
Recent auctions have featured Henry Big Boy rifles, Benelli shotguns, and Ruger revolvers. Sponsorship levels range from $200 (Bronze) to $2,500 (Level 4 table for 10), with perks including raffle tickets, memberships, and on-screen recognition. Individual meal tickets run $50–$60. All proceeds benefit youth education and wildlife conservation.
Water for Wildlife Golf Tournament
Held each spring at Mesa Del Sol Golf Course, this tournament funds critical wildlife water projects. During summer 2024, Arizona Game & Fish Department volunteers delivered over 500,000 gallons of water to wildlife in the region, followed by another 250,000 gallons in January–February 2025.

Beyond shooting sports, the club is deeply involved in conservation. They partner with the Southwest Wildlife Foundation and support the Arizona Sportsmen for Wildlife Conservation specialty license plate program, which funds habitat restoration and outdoor education.
This is an outdoor-oriented organization for the entire family—hunters, shooters, conservationists, and anyone who values Arizona's land and wildlife.
