Charles Boyd brings real-world credentials to his instruction—he's a Nationally Certified EMT, NRA Training Counselor, NRA Chief RSO, BSIS Certified Firearm Instructor, and Red Cross Instructor Trainer. His background spans EMT work, private security, and professional instruction across multiple certifications.

State-mandated BSIS course required for anyone seeking to carry a firearm as an armed security officer in California. Covers:
Firearm rentals available: $20 per caliber (ammunition extra). Must request in advance.
California requires permit holders to qualify 4 times during their 2-year permit (twice yearly, minimum 4 months apart). This refresher covers use of force, escalation/de-escalation, and live-fire qualification.
Mandatory BSIS training covering legal authority, limitations, proper application of force, duty to intercede, and de-escalation techniques for all security professionals.
