Fin Fur Feather Club

The Fin, Fur and Feather Club, Inc. is a family-oriented sporting organization established in 1947 in Chaplin, Connecticut. Located at 213 Chewink Road, this first-rate facility serves as a hub for outdoor enthusiasts dedicated to conservation, sportsmanship, and safe firearm handling.

The club offers multiple specialized shooting ranges:

• •Pistol Range – Recently upgraded facility featuring steel targets, dueling trees, and Evil Roy targets at the 50-yard berm. Open to members year-round with dedicated safety protocols
• •Rifle Range – Available for members pursuing rifle marksmanship
• •Shotgun Sports – Dedicated shotgun shooting facilities
• •Practical Pistol – Competitive and recreational practical pistol courses

Beyond firearms training, the club provides:

• •Archery Range – 3-D archery shoots twice yearly (public and members welcome). 30-target courses featuring Mackenzie and Rinehart targets. Practice range open to members year-round
• •Fishing – Three well-maintained ponds stocked with trout; hosts annual Kids' Fishing Derby and John Shea Largest Trout Derby
• •Hunting – Pheasant, turkey, deer, and waterfowl hunting on club-owned and leased land; club raises and stocks pheasants
• •Social Facilities – Bar and meeting spaces for member gatherings

The club is primarily a members-only facility, though select events (archery 3-D shoots) are open to the public. The bar operates on a regular schedule: Tuesday–Sunday with varying hours. Membership applications are available through the club's membership chairman.
