Established in 1899, Pahquioque Rod & Gun Club sits on 125 years of shooting history. The club operates from a rustic clubhouse featuring a century-old stone fireplace, located on the grounds of Wooster Mountain Shooting Range in Danbury, Connecticut.
The club maintains four modern trap fields and a 5-stand course for clay target shooting:
- •16 Yard Singles – Squads of up to 5 shoot from five fixed stations, 16 yards back. Targets travel over 40 mph at unpredictable angles within an 88° arc. Standard 25-shot rounds.
- •Handicap – Similar format, but shooters assigned yardage (18-27 yards) based on ability to equalize competition.
- •Doubles – Pairs of targets thrown simultaneously from the 16-yard line; requires quick transitions between shots.
Complement your trap practice with 5-stand shooting.
